Join us for Seeds of Caring's third annual MLK Day of Youth Service in partnership with Madam Walker Legacy Center's 44th Annual MLK Day of Celebration! Together, we can make Monday, January 19th a day on, and not a day off. With the generous support of Barnes & Thornburg LLP and other sponsors, Seeds of Caring will have multiple stations set up where kids ages 2-12 (along with their grown-ups) can contribute to their community in meaningful ways in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Activities for kids will include: assembling care kits for unhoused neighbors, making snack bags for people experiencing food insecurity, creating suncatchers for senior friends to brighten their day, writing and drawing letters to city officials advocating for change in our community, as well as a take-home reflection craft. Community partners will also be on site to educate and engage with participants. This event is FREE but does require registration.
