Brandy Jemczura, MSW, LSW
executive director and founder
A former teacher and licensed social worker, Brandy quickly realized after having children that it was difficult for her to give of her time to the community with her kids present—and volunteer opportunities for her young children were far and few between. That’s when she got her big idea: an organization created specifically to engage children in meaningful service. And that’s when Seeds of Caring was born. Brandy brings to Seeds of Caring a rich background in education, social work, nonprofit programming and management, and an unmistakable passion for helping others learn to be helpers. When she’s not proudly waving her Seeds of Caring flag, Brandy enjoys heading out to the hiking trails with her husband and three kids, traveling, and curling up in her Clintonville home with a book and her (very large) dog Trooper.
Whether mentoring high school students, traveling the world to teach English, or supporting refugee families with grocery shopping and trips to the doctor, Noelle has always had a passion for service. And when she became a mom, that didn't change. Noelle was eager to teach her three kids to look beyond themselves and to care about all people, no matter their life situation. And so she began to search for ways her family could volunteer together, which lead her to Seeds of Caring. With a background in event planning and program administration, Noelle brings both passion and professionalism to her role as program coordinator. She is committed to empowering all children and loves watching her own kids light up when they realize the difference they are making in the world. Noelle lives in Westerville where she enjoys being outdoors, gathering friends around the table, and drinking lots of coffee.
A team of trained Seeds of Caring volunteers brainstorms, plans, and runs the events we offer each month. We are grateful for their generous donation of time and talent, and proud to be able to offer events that are truly for the community—by the community.
